Admission Requirements
Join motivated learners from around the world at American English Language School. Our simple, straightforward admission process welcomes students of all English levels.
Core requirements.
Four simple things qualify you to enroll and, if needed, receive a Form I-20 for your F-1 student visa.
18 or older
Applicants must be at least 18 at the time of enrollment. A valid passport or government-issued ID is required for age verification.
All levels welcome
No minimum English level is required. A short placement test determines your class level, with classes from beginner through advanced.
Valid U.S. status
You'll need valid immigration status to study in the U.S. We issue Form I-20 for F-1 visas and welcome overseas applicants, transfer students, and change-of-status cases.
Bank statement
A valid bank statement showing sufficient funds is required for I-20 issuance. No financial aid or scholarships are available.

Good to know
No financial aid. AELS does not offer financial aid, grants, or scholarships. Students are responsible for all tuition and living costs during their studies.
Recent bank statements. Statements must be issued within the last 6 months and show sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses.
