ESL Guarantee Program

At American English Language School, we are confident in the strength of our curriculum and teaching methods. That's why we offer our ESL Guarantee Program, designed to help committed students achieve real academic progress.

If you complete 4 consecutive quarters (1 full year) of ESL instruction and finish Level 5, we guarantee that you will achieve a minimum TOEFL iBT band score of 3.5 (equivalent to 70 on the previous 120-point scale). If you do not, you will receive one additional quarter of ESL classes free of charge.

Admission Requirements Program Requirements

1

Enroll in and complete 4 back-to-back quarters (no breaks in study)

2

Reach Level 5 ESL by the end of the 4th quarter

3

Take at least one official TOEFL iBT test after completing Level 5

Sample TOEFL Questions Example:

A student begins at Level 2 in January, completes Levels 2–5 over the course of the year, and then takes the TOEFL iBT in December. If their score is below 3.5 (70 on the previous scale), they may continue with one more quarter of ESL at no cost to further strengthen their skills.

This program reflects our commitment to your success. With your dedication and our proven instruction, reaching a band score of 3.5—and opening the door to many U.S. colleges and universities—is within reach.

"Small class sizes gave me the confidence to speak English every day"

After trying larger schools, I found AELS and everything changed. The teachers gave me personal attention, and with only 6 students in my class, I had to participate and speak English constantly. In one year, I improved enough to pass my TOEFL with a 81!

"Their guarantee program truly delivered on its promise"

I was skeptical about AELS's guarantee program, but decided to commit to a full year. The location in Brea is beautiful and convenient, and the professional teaching staff made all the difference. I can now confidently communicate in English for both everyday and work related situations.
