About the program

The ESL program at AELS offers 6 structured levels, from Basic to Level 5, designed to help students master English speaking, listening, reading, and writing. New students begin with a placement test to determine the appropriate level. Each level takes 3 months to complete and ends with the CASAS exam (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System) to measure real progress in English proficiency.

Graduates of Level 5 receive an ESL Certificate of Completion, demonstrating the language skills needed to succeed in daily life, work, or further education.

What you'll learn

Reading, Writing & Grammar

Each level includes targeted reading materials and writing exercises designed to build vocabulary, strengthen grammar, and develop fluent writing skills. Students learn to write in various formats — letters, recipes, and essays — while mastering idiomatic expressions and complex sentence structures.

Speaking & Listening

Small class sizes allow for interactive, real-life conversation practice. Instructors focus on pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening comprehension through guided discussions, providing personalized feedback to build confidence and fluency.

Academic progress check

At AELS, we believe consistent progress leads to lasting results. Our teachers closely monitor each student's performance through regular assessments, classroom participation, and weekly check-ins. This allows us to provide personalized feedback and support, helping students overcome challenges and improve steadily in all areas of English. Our goal is to ensure every student stays motivated, on track, and continuously growing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How do I enroll in the ESL program?+
Simply submit an inquiry form using the "Inquire Today" button at the top right of the page. We'll help you enroll in the right level and provide all the details you need to get started.
What are the requirements for enrollment?+
To enroll in any of our programs, you must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid bank statement. For more information or questions about visa requirements, please visit our enrollment page.
Are your instructors all highly proficient in English?+
Yes! All of our instructors hold bachelor's degrees in English-related fields, have advanced proficiency in English, and are certified to teach ESL. They use interactive, proven methods to guide your learning every step of the way.
Which ESL level should I start at?+
All new students take a placement test before starting the program to determine the most appropriate level based on their speaking, listening, reading, and grammar skills.
What is your vacation policy?+
Students receive a 1-week break between each 3-month quarter, with the next quarter starting the following Monday. For long-term students, those who complete 3 consecutive quarters (9 months) are eligible to take a 1-quarter (3-month) break. We encourage consistent study, as longer breaks can lead to learning loss and reduced motivation, so extended breaks are only allowed after a sustained period of progress.
